Special skills I want to use helping e-learning for Kids
I would like to use my ISD, teaching, and foreign language skills (Russian and Spanish) to help e-learning for Kids.
About Me:
My name is Marina Arshavskiy. I received my BA degree from UMBC (University of Maryland, Baltimore County) in Modern Languages and Linguistics with concentration in Russian translation and Spanish. I also received my MA degree from the same university in Instructional Systems Development with the concentration in Teaching English as a Second Language. Currently, I work as an Instructional Designer at Windwalker Corporation. I also teach ESL at the community college on Saturdays.

Not really a template, but you will find an "English" Microsoft Word and .pdf documents which you can cut-n-paste from. They are in the Translations Group area under the Discussion Tread. You will find samples of Laos, Vietnamese, and Chinese already translated in the same area.
After you translate to russian, please post as a .pdf if you can create in the same group as a reply.
Feel free to ask me or AJ andy questions you have.
one more thing, it would be great if you uploaded you picture to your profile so other EFK'ers who join this social network can see each other. Thanks so much for your help. YOU ROCK!!!
Mr. Nguyen just posted a Vietnamese translation and it would be great if you would translate it into Russian. We are trying to post the translated versions as .pdf to make it easier for printing out.
Your suggestion on printing a book is wonderful too. I think that we would encourage people to print out for helping kids in their country and complied all the individual pages into a book for sharing at conferences and global meeting meetings.
Do you have other volunteers that you know that might be interested in translating to other languages. Feel free to spread the word and invite others to this global social networking project.
You should be able to find the editable file as a discussion in the Translations group you are a member of. Try this hotlink http://elearningforkids.ning.com/group/translations/forum/topic/show?id=2104531%3ATopic%3A864
Also, it would be great if you could add a photo of yourself in your profile We want to share with the community. Thanks, Dirk
Hi Maria, Recently we received a volunteer who created a one-page, picture-instruction guide in both English and in Laos. I thought this forum would be a good place to share and noticed you are fluent in both Spanish & Russia AND instructional design. When you have a few miutes, it would b great to hear your feedback too. Please feel free to post directly in the EFK translation forum group. Thanks again, Dirk.
HI Marina. It was great to "meet" you today on our call. We appreciate the work you will be doing with AJ in the Instructional Design and Course Development areas. Also in any future translation efforts. Thanks again and welcome to the team!
